Wow, sounds like a super day. Glad you got out had fun and caught a PB Red Breast.
In Middle Tennessee we don’t have any red breast sunfish.....at least not the waters I fish. Nickajack however has plenty of them. I had a great day fishing there today with 90 fish brought to the net. However....most of them were crappie...70 of them.....majority of them 11.5-12.5 inches with a few at 13 and one TARP fish at 14 inches. While I was really after Gills I wasn’t about to pull off the crappie. Being an avid UL angler all I want is something to tug on the Varivas 2.1# test polyester line. But I did mange some nice bluegill in the mix and my personal best red breast. It was a fantastic day....that included 2 trophy smallmouth. All fish caught on JDM rods using Bison and Sow Bug colored Trout Magnets.
Regards

Great catch, cannot wait to see the video. I wanted to go to the creek this afternoon but time just got away from me. The next 4 weeks should be good for the Panfish bite.

Excellent day Randy!! I’d love to tangle with some of those smallies and that’s a toad of a redbreast. I bet he had a genuine attitude.

Really nice fish! All species look like they've been eating good and ready for the spawn. Good on the redbreasts. I live in north MS and we don't have any around here that I know of. Used to be a state park lake in the Memphis area that had them in abundance, but they drained the lake to make repairs and the redbreasts disappeared. Really good for bluegill and shellcrackers, but I miss the redbreasts.
