I have BBUL's 10ft and Wahali's Steel Eagles 10' and both are great rods. Paired them all with spinning reels. They balance out very well and are super sensitive. The BBUL's don't have as much backbone as the Wahali's but are fun to catch fish on. No complaints from either. I think you got a great rod when you bough the B'N'M Tree Thumper. Just pair it with a 1000 or 2500 spinning reel to balance out the weight.
ACC green is all I fish with.

ACC Crappie Stix is probably the lightest most sensitive rod on the market with great back bone. I've owned a lot of rods over the years from low end to top of the line and that is the only rod I will buy know. I have about 12 of them from the 7' 6" to 10'. Now waiting on the new lighter 12' rod he is working on. The service is second to none also.

The lightest 10 ft. jig pole i have ever fished with is a JB Salter jig pole . Mr JB Salter past away several years ago, but I think his son is still running the business. This jig pole will float if it falls in the water. You can hold it all day . Old MR. JB would give you a free lesson on how to use the pole if you picked it up at his shop. I have never met his son but i bet he can make that jig pole talk just like his daddy could . Old Mr. JB would call it " Salters Magic Show. " I would check into it. I own several and i have swung fish close to 3 Lbs in the boat with them . Good Luck
