The clothing options, especially the new stuff, are what everyone I know has gone to. I just moved south. What I wanted to suggest is a stick blind to break the wind. 3 or 4 sticks about 5’ long or so and a cloth barrier set up between you and the wind. Extra socks and gloves are a very good idea. I had a jump suit that I gave away because it was too hot. You couldn’t have it on over 40*. Point is, don’t look at one piece to solve the issue, good quality layers is the answer. They may not be cheap but they last a very long time with little care. I’m still wearing my Walls canvas bibs I bought in the late 90’s. My biggest issue was keeping the wind from blowing up my legs when sitting down. Usually didn’t last over 3 hours when it was cold, less when it was windy. Did best when it was sunny and calm winds. Sure beat cabin fever regardless.
