TODD DANGER thanked you for this post
I caught 5 flatheads Friday and 3 white crappie on Saturday. We were fishing The area outside Jamestown camp ground.
All were caught drifiting a 1/16th oz black jig tipped with a fathead or a shiner in around 10 feet of water.
The 5 HP Merc moved the canoe really well even at half speed.( Just breaking it in)

Fished Jamestown area Wednesday morning. Had a tough time figuring out the crappies but managed to put a limit in the cooler before twelve o’clock. They just weren’t in their summer spots yet. The bluegills were on beds in shallow water. We put twenty of them in the box and called it a day at two. Got rained on for a few minutes but the sun came out and all was well.
Chaunc , I'm the guy you see in the yak up by the old Westinghouse site . I was up on the south end Monday and Tuesday and did well. I caught fish all day , nothing fast but they stayed active all day. Most everything was in 10'-15' depth on the edge of drop offs with cover. Oh, and yes I was using your hang gliding method out of the yak. Its been workin well when they're bitin . Thanks for the tips..
