A gallon of fillets is about 8 pounds. Between mine and Steves we have around 12 pounds. I usually figure 3/4 pound per person x 30 is 22.5 pounds so we need another gallon or so of fillets. I think we can catch that many before Saturday but Houghton Lake can be a fickle mistress at times. Any donations would be appreciated. If we have too many, they make awful good sammies the next day.

Looking like we will have a good year!
Small note, the mayflies have begun hatching this week. Not sure of our prognosis for the fishing tournament.

I might have to break into my stash of white bass.

I might swing up tomarrow for the lunch thing, can bring plenty of fish. Got some gills and some walleye if that will work? Maybe even burbot . Haven't been to a crappie get together since the one back at Lake Mitchell and Cadillac. Any good shore fishing up there this time of year?

Not sure if I ate gills, but the smelt and walleye wings were awesome. Something new to me.
