Sorry, Skip. My halfzeimers is working today. Also, I should have known that you don't get much hard water fishing in Texas.

Love those spoons. Trying to make them but having a horrible time putting the hole in the other end. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I use a willow spinner which already has one hole. I then use a center punch or prick punch to mark the hole. I then use a 1/16 inch drill bit in my drill press to make the second hole.

Well I answered my question (partly). Block of oak with a depression to accommodate the spoon, took a shell with solder in it and laid into the spoon I was working on and clamped it. Held solid I was then able to drill it a little easier. Not great. Hopefully some one will devise a better way. I reall like the spoon.

Thanks Bob. I just read your reply. Can’t wait to try them on the ice and on open water in Texas next week. Hope you have a good ice season.

I don't think you will be disappointed with the lures. I have been using them the last few days and they are working quite well. The #1 green spinner is producing Gills from 5 to 9 inches. The #2 pink/white spinner has produced crappies from 7 to 13 inches. A lot medium sized fish with Lunker every Name: IMG_0145.JPG

Sorry for the double fish pictures. I could not edit out the extra picture. :-(
