I too have never heard of those rods. I have used BnM BGJP and Pro Staff and the Southern Crappie rods and they all have performed good for me. It will depend on exactly how you will use them as to which ones would work best for you.

Southern crappie rods. I have 14's and 12's. Also have PST's . Southerners are best all around crappie rod out there. Ed Dukes the owner is the guy you deal with. He designed them, has them built and sells them. He is quite a tournament fisherman in the South and North Carolina area.

I must a different kind of southern crappie rod in the 14 ft. cause if I put a 3/4 oz. sinker on mine the tips would be in the water

The 143T rods from Southern Crappie will handle a 2 oz weight and have no more than 6-8 inches of bend. Ask about 75 folks who got some in their hands on mine at the KY Shindig this past weekend. Ed will be coming out with the same rod in 12 footers in a couple of months than 16 footers in the spring. They are tough as nails and I can tie on a c55 crankbait and run it at 2 mph and there will be no more than a foot of bend in the rods.
