"TOP 3 MOST COMMON TRAITS OF VENOMOUS SNAKES:

    1) It is big and fat (all in the USA, except that red-black-yellow coral, are fat pit vipers)
    2) It is a rattlesnake, with real rattles on the end of its tail
    3) It has elliptical pupils (but I doubt you're close enough to look)"

Here in the south in can be a good rule of thumb identifying pit vipers from water snakes or rat snakes, but many of the most poisonous snakes of the world have round eyes

I think we are only talking of snakes in the South USA. We don't fish the Amazon very often.

I only shoot a few times a year. Box last me about 5 years. I do like 22lr also, but those got kinda expensive and hard to find for a while. I ask everytime I go to walmart if they have any. Usually they don't. I can get it other places but pay more. Plus I can hit a snake easier with my little 410.

I'm not 100% sure, but my belief is that they don't make as many 410 shells (or 20 gauge for that matter) as the 12 gauge. Of course with the introduction of the Judge, I'm sure they increased the percentage of 410 shells being made.

I agree on the production driving pricing. Think 410 is bad look at the 16. I have one of those along with the 410, 20 and 12.

Go ahead with your theory, pick this coral snake up. Found all over the US. A bite often is lethal.
Just trying to point out, your theory applies to pit vipers. And to your defense, been in the woods my hole life, and never saw a black on yellow your a dead fellow.

I heard it was, "Red and yellow, kill a fellow."

As to the reference that I posted, the exception is the coral snake in the southern US. Read it.
