Come on, guys. At least tell us what tactics didn't catch fish. Jeff and Johnny's results look pretty good. What worked and what didn't? Looked like a decent turnout.

Spider rigging steep banks netted 1-10" and 1-13" fish.

We caught about 20 between 10-11" vertical drop shotting minnows in brush from 10-18'. Caught a few small son hair jigs but the minnows were the way to go. The day before we caught 2 that went 13" fishing around standing timber in 10-12 fow and a few 12" fish over brush piles but I always prefish a lot better than I tournament fish. I think my nervous shaking spooks the fish!

Brian and I caught about 50 crappie with 8 keepers. 5 that were 10 inches and 3 about 12 inches. We spider rigged minnows all day and caught fish everywhere we tried. At 1215 we had 3 keepers that were 10 inches, we moved to a shallow flat with stumps in 8-11 fow and caught 5 keepers in less than an hour. We caught our last fish at 1315 and it was our biggest of the day. We headed back immediately after that to make the weigh in. I wished we would have moved shallower earlier in the day. We also caught about 20 bass that were 8 inches long, 5 catfish. a sand bass, and hooked numerous 5-6 foot gar that we quickly broke off to avoid a total disaster to our spider rigging set up. All in all we had a great day, the quality fish were just found too late in the day.

Dusty and I spider rigged minnows, double dipped jigs, and cast n dragged jigs on banks that had brush....fished from 6ft to 14 ft of water....caught dinks, had two fish that measured out but did not weigh in....caught lots of bass, drum, catfish etc....never could find good fish....even drop shot minnows into brush and standing timber...no luck for us that day

We drop shot minnows and jigs in brush 8-16FOW. We fished the river. I was scanning for laydowns. We caught fish everywhere we pulled into. Like Oddie, we hit probably 40 fish that day, but only 6 measured 10". I fished south of hwy 51 Friday and the Sunday before, almost nothing down there!
