Correct. Makes it super fast for sure. I'm happy with the results so far.
Thanks Diell.ive made a video that I'll upload later tonight.something that I found I liked was the drop-down menus are much easier and faster to exit out of.this is something that I found out later, after I made the video.so you can't see it.instead of having to touch the little back or x button, just touch the screen any were and it exits.
Correct. Makes it super fast for sure. I'm happy with the results so far.
I also liked the the swipe down.before when I swiped down an I pause for a bit, the unit would automatically take the screen that was high lighted and load.now it waits for me. The swipe left or right will advance the menu and will load after a short pause, which I also like.i should be able to hit the water, and give it a good run though in a couple of days.so far though, I'm happy

Good video. I don't know if you noticed this or not but when you see the dark "Loading" screen for a specific function, if you go back to that same function it won't do it again. Once that screen loads up it will be retained, so you don't have to wait every single time. The "Loading" screen only comes up the first time. I like it because it lets you know the Onix got your command, it's just working on it. Before you couldn't tell what was happening, did it feel the touch or did the unit freeze?
I purchased a new Onix 10 August 7th 2014. When the unit was installed the DI did not work at all blank screen SI and everthing else worked, HB sent out a new transducer. Installed the new transducer, after about 6 hours use it started reading all kinds of depths, and the side imaging and down imaging quite working with garbage all over the screen. Sent the entire unit in to HB to have them look at it, the second transducer went bad, they replaced it and sent it back. This all happened within the first 1 1/2 months, I only used it on two fishing trips and it failed on both. I installed the new transducer and let it soak a week in a plastic 10 gallon bucket of water just to see if it would quite before I try to use it on a lake again, so far it seemed to still be working correctly after the week long soak. Needless to say I have not used the unit on the water since, so I dont know how long it will last on the third transducer.
I gave up on the point of interest (little white football shapes) issues on Lakemasters Mid South Edition V2 in the Onix 10. HB looked at the POI issue when I sent it in and it worked on a Lakemaster chip they used for the east side of the US someplace and they sent a screenshot of the east coast where it worked. I think if they would have tried Lakemaster Mid South Edition V2 and looked at Sardis Lake in Oklahoma they would have seen the POI do not work, it never gives an option for "info" in the drop down menu according to what the instruction manual is showing, but the same chip and POI work fine in my 798CI HD SI. I also mentioned to them the lake I was having the issue with. Would be interested if someone else has the Mid South edition V2 and went to Sardis Lake in Oklahoma and had the same issues I had on the Onix, maybe I am overlooking something, I tried everything I could.
The unit does have some other issues I have noticed, but when the unit works it seems to work pretty good. I have yet to install Version 2, waiting to hear how it works for others.

I was told yesterday that there is a bad run of Lakemaster chips out there. He said something about checking serial numbers with Lakemaster and that they have been replacing chips. I would contact Lakemaster and see if yours is one of the problem ones.
