Does these molds have a collar, if so you could add a small indention above the collar with a dremel tool. If it doesn't already have a collar you would be better off buying another mold.
So I am just getting into pouring my own jig heads and I purchased 2 lil mac midget molds. In my haste I did not look at the fact that they do not have a barb holder. Is there a way to modify a barb holder on my mold. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any tips that a rookie should know would be awsome too thank you.

I would check and see if they offer that mold with a barb. If they do I would contact them about doing a exchange. May cost a little extra but worth it in the long run.

x2 with Stump. Only other thing I can think of is put a jig hook in and add a piece of spinner making wire in and then close until it shuts tight. Then you'd have to make some hooks in the wire and pour the jigs then bend the wire on the hook shank into a hook for holding the plastic on. Other than that like Stump said buy a mold with them already in it.
They do have a collar I might try the dremmel first I only have 6 dollars in the mold so I figure its worth a shot thank you
Another thing you may try instead of modifying the mold, is to carry some LockTite super glue gel. It is in a Grey bottle with a Blue cap. I keep a bottle at my tying station and one in my tackle box also. It is what I use instead of barbs when I use plastic baits. It also does not destroy the plastics the way that the barbs do. Just put a drop or two on the head after you put the plastic on the jig head. It works great.
Good luck,
