    Default Yo Yo TOTD

Since there has been so much interest in auto fishing, I thought that it would be good to post some do's and don'ts about yo yo fishing.
I would first like to address the bait issue.

    1. Worms... a very good yo yo bait if you like to hear the ziiiiiiiiinnnng. Just about anything will bite a worm and you can spend most of the night chasing phantom "water dwellers" both big and small that have been attracted to such bait.
    2. Jigs...On a windy night, a Bobby Garfunkle mo-glo jig tipped with a Worm will produce good fish. On a still night furgettaboutit.
    3. Crankbaits...I haven't had much success with crankbaits on yo yo's unless I tip with a worm. However, I have caught my biggest while yo yo cranking when I caught Big Buford my fishing buddy one night when he was up on the bow checking the rig when it inadvertently tripped and left 2 sets of trebbles in Bufords forehead.
    4. Crawdads...They are a great bait for yo yoing, but why waste them catching fish when you can use a worm. Those good crawdads can be boiled and et around the campfire while waiting for the ziiiiiiiiinnnnnng.
    5. Minners...possible the best yo yo bait around especially when tipped with a worm.

Worms are where it's at. With a little luck you might hang a nice gar or bowfin. Bake one of those in a dark roux with some onion, celery, and bell pepper and get back. Man talk about Thanksgiving.

Now that what we need is a 2 yo-yo tournament
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.
