Love the snap swivel idea. That certain allows you to use the pencil bobbers that are easier to see without the problem of having the line hang up going through the entire length. That runs a lot easier than threading the line through a hole or slot in the plastic too. You can make the bobber as long or short as you want like for using to shoot docks or open water casting over beds. You don't get the running line laying over the top of the bobber then either. That should produce a real nice straight standup.

    Great idea.

I got a special bobber rod, Eagle Claw 5 1/2' Featherweight, that I will be rigging just like this next spring. Thanks a bunch.

Some guy showed me about the snap swivel years back. We use it a lot here up north.

It casts much better than the line through the entire tube idea on a standard slip float. Better accuracy and distance too. Works for me! Here it is.

This is freakin BRILLIANT!!!!! I will prolly never use a slip float the ame way again!!

Thank you. DB4D started me with the Waggler idea. They are hard to come by and pricey. This gives the Waggler effect at a fraction of the cost. The top stop bead I just double the line through so I can adjust the depth of the jig. The bottom stop bead is so I do not lose the float.

This is one of the most simple ways to tie a slip bobber stop knot. I found this video on you tube.

Guys, I just read this hole thread and greatly apprecitate the ideas shared here. In my opinion this is what makes Crappie.com one of my favorite places to visit.
I spend alot of time on the MS boards here and have been taught alot by those guys, finding nothing but a willingness to help and that it further acknowledged by this thread on the main board.
Thanks to the ones for sharing their info with us, good luck to all.

Nice video TIM. Interesting old man knot there. I do a similar presentation but with loop knots for high lures. You have a voice just made for tv. Easily understood with a pause at just the right times to let what you say sink in. Well done.
