Thanks for taking a Vet out fishing. I know it made you feel good too.
Too bad the fish didn't cooperate but that's fishing. I've been able to take a lot of younger Vets out via Operation North State and enjoyed each trip.
Fished deep brush piles on south end of Wateree all day and only caught one crappie. Still it was an awesome trip due to a chance meeting last week with a retired Navy veteran who asked me to take him fishing. At 83 years old, he is still in good shape and had no trouble making himself at home on the pontoon boat. This man served our country for 33 years, seeing action in both Korea and Vietnam. Being a Navy vet myself, we had a lot in common and spent the day swapping sea stories. One of the coolest fishing trips of my life, and an honor to have him on my boat. Just goes to show, the fish don’t have to bite to have a good day on the water.

Thanks for taking a vet out fishing. I know he enjoyed the day on the water even if the fish are not biting. Me and Remus fished wateree Tuesday and only caught 1 crappie and 2 cats.
Sometimes the slow bite give you more time to enjoy who you are with! Thanks to you both for your service!
Catching fish isn't the only part of fishing. Enjoyed reading your report and Thanks for your service, our older Veterans are amazing and a walking history book.
