I told ya I wasn't giving up on the Stihl. Knew it had to be something simple. Gas line has one pickup and two delivery lines. I thought it was unlikely, but possible I reversed the lines. Thought I'd check. When I pulled carb back off, the lines were pinched when the carb was seated. Rotated the pickup, re-oriented the lines and vroom vroom. I'm weed whackin with the best of em.

Feeling pretty good about myself (ignoring the 8 hours of labor I have in on a 20 minute job) I announced to Is that I'm a genius and extraordinary mechanic. She says- well, what ya gonna do with it? That girl knows how to get me.

Stroke of genius though. After stewing on it, I decided I'm keeping it as a spare for when the boys tear up the new one. I'm pretty smart.

Man, I am so glad you fixed it....I have not been able to sleep at night worrying about it...LOL...plus, I have a Stihl that needs some TLC....glad to hear all the helpful suggestions on troubleshooting.....
