Default Against my better judgement, a real question

Well, here's a kick in the pants with pointy boots.

I told ya I wasn't giving up on the Stihl. Knew it had to be something simple. Gas line has one pickup and two delivery lines. I thought it was unlikely, but possible I reversed the lines. Thought I'd check. When I pulled carb back off, the lines were pinched when the carb was seated. Rotated the pickup, re-oriented the lines and vroom vroom. I'm weed whackin with the best of em.

Feeling pretty good about myself (ignoring the 8 hours of labor I have in on a 20 minute job) I announced to Is that I'm a genius and extraordinary mechanic. She says- well, what ya gonna do with it? That girl knows how to get me.

Stroke of genius though. After stewing on it, I decided I'm keeping it as a spare for when the boys tear up the new one. I'm pretty smart.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

if you are such a genuis you would let them finish the old one off first, and keep the new one for a spare.

Somehow it seems to me I would have to agree with your better half....It is hard for me to see how to use the words "genius and extraordinary mechanic" ,in any positive way, when you shot yourself in the foot to begin with. You were determined to get it fixed and that was good.It was also good the members of CDC chimed in valid suggestions to help you out .....

In case you don't know, you will soon find out....... these itte-bitte 2 cycle motors have a mind of their own. They will toy and torment you just for fun. You tried all reasonable suggestions to get this thang running, to no avail. If it had been just a kinked gas line, the starting fluid should have at least made it fire off for a few seconds. Believe me, this thang is just having fun, as it quickly recognized it was dealing with a novice. You will sooner or later wise up to its motives and give it what it needed in the first place, a good whipping with a large ball pein hammer using an anvil as the backstop. That's what it needs, and the sooner you realize that, the more sane you will appear to the masses.
You could ugly it to pieces, but nothing in this world deserves that kind of abuse.
