Good report ! GLad you was able to get out!
Well, it was the first time out on Smith Lk. Doing a first trip at night is even more interesting. Fishing buddy that lives on the lake and I decided to give the lights a go. The fish were there just not in a cooperative feeding mood. We had some minnows and of the 3 dzn, about 6 lived thru the experience. Too bad too, because the only fish we caught was on a minnow 5' under a lighted bobber. The bream would peck at the jigs but not really hit it. Water temp was 85.4, it was a beautiful night to be out, comfortable temp without sweating a storm and the stars were bright and then the moon came up around midnight, just poor fishing. Was amazing to find dock that were in 25 FOW. Now I'll have to get down there in daylight to see what I was fishing around! Lol

Bob give those lights a try in April or May. The lights are best on my lakes in spring and wary summer. Also this time of year they will bite under some of those docks in the daytime. Give me a call and I'll give you some more ifo.

Its been hit or miss for me on the lights. last few times I've been hadn't caught many but the ones I have caught have been good sized. I seem to catch more on docks sitting in 20-40 FOW. Once the water cools back off it will get better.
Great experience and adventure on a beautiful lake. Wish you a full live well on your next trip!

Thanks guys! It was just fun to get out on a new body of water and try something different.
