My family and I are coming to the Chippewa Flowage for the first time during the first week of June. We will be staying on the East Side of the lake near Musky Tale Resort. Looking for Walleye, Small Mouth and Crappie. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
If you don't have a boat, you could contact Tom Boley guide service. He has a youtube channel and can put you on some nice walleye. I have fished it for crappie a few times and done alright. If you do have a boat, there are crib piles near Hay creek narrows (on the north side of the island, don't know the name, to the west of the narrows) I have caught some10-11 inch crappie there. There is a map on (you can find it on google) of all the brush/crib piles in the flowage. With this late spring, the first week of june the crappie may still be spawning, so look for shallower bays near the brush piles. Mid-summer is when the move from those shallow bays or gravel shore line to the deeper brush. Hope this helps.
