hey Z Where do you do most of your crappie fishing? Mattoon lake? Shelbyville? Rend? I fished Rend one time and got shut out by a nasty cold front that was thowing hard sliders out of the north. hehe Never went back to fish down there. A couple buddies fished shelby a few times and usually did good--- right off the piers/docks sometimes. Glenn

    naildriver,
I fish Lake Sara a lot, Shelbyville,Rend Lake a few times. Mark Twain a lot,
Truman, Kentucky Lake ,Toledo Bend, Beaver Lake, AK. But believe it or not
Lake Sara, Effingham holds really nice crappie , One guy last spring was showing off a 3lb. Not many people really fish Sara for crappie. Shelbyville
is a a very nice lake also.

Z, I have looked at Lake Sara online and it looks nice. I see that there is a resort called Anthony Acres on the lake that has docks so I could leave my boat in the water. What is your opinion of Anthony Acres and would it be worth a drive from near Peoria to stay there and fish Lake Sara some long weekend? Are there any hp restrictions or lauch/lake fees? Thanks.

    Kenny,

Anthony Acres is a nice place. Good people that run it. No HP limit--but no
Jet motor boats or jet ski boats. Lots of docks to fish. If you come down-
pm me and I'll even show up or send you some spots.
