    Default Wipers debut

Going to target wipers/hybrids for the first time. I read that people pull crankbaits at 2- 4 mph. Is that true???

I know. That is just unreal to me. If you cast instead of trolling then I don't think most reels have that fast of retrieve,

Sorry guys, just saw this one.

It's true. Years ago, I fished Lake Murray SC a lot for stripers. My favorite and most effective tactic there in the fall/winter was leadcore trolling. My ideal speed was 2.3 MPH, but 2.0-2.5 worked well. I trolled bucktails with curly tail trailers, stick baits, and yes crankbaits. My favorite of all those was a Bomber Long A in bone color.
