Welcome to the world of striper fishing. I carry and make umbrella rigs with various styles of baits on them. I do not have them on my website at this time because I just started dealing in them. I have used them for years but did not sell them, now I do. You can call me at 336-249-6782 about them if you are interested.

FYI check your state laws about umbrella rigs as some states do not allow multiple hook rigs but you can still use teasers with one bait with a hook. Umbrella rigs and parachute rigs are also not the same thing as someone else stated.

Good point Yadkin Guide, I do know in Tenn. there are some lakes that have that law don't know about the whole state. I'm glad you found your way over here, please post some of your trips and advise on this forum it has been picking up momentum, and getting hits nation wide, The u-rigs have been great on Norman this winter, are you having the same success on High Rock with them?

On High Rock we have been having success on U-rigs that have bucktails on them. I am in the beginning stages of using spinnerbaits on a U-rig. I will post more on this as I learn more. Badin lake has always been good for U-rigs but I don't fish Norman much. I would bet they would really work on Norman though. On Badin I use umbrellas with 9 of the Panther Martin 6 inch swimbaits on them. I have caught many doubles on these rigs and have had 3 on one rig at least 2 times but have never been able to land 3 at one time. At least not yet but there is always tomorrow.

yadkin guide, you are correct they have been working like a champ on Norman, I've been out catchin the live bait fisherman by far, even some of the die hard live baiter's are starting to try them. When all you hear is that all the striper were killed off in the past summer, I have boated 212 since nov 5th. and I have not fish since march 12th.

the first place i would look for stripers in my experience is the upper end of a lake were there is the highest current flow stripes are big fish and highly active there for they need more oxygen there for they will be there in big school because the water for oxygenated
