i didn't make it out there myself....I stuck a little closer to home and float-fished the Coal River. A little slow that day, about 15 total: Mostly small stripers, a couple sunfish and small SMs....the two largest SMs both got off (of course!)

Hey just got back home. I didn't try spider rigging, I did try ponttton shooting the marina but they said you can't fish in there, some dock owners told us, I think they just wanted us out. Yeah summersville is a hard place to fish, that's why I generally plan to do something else (i.e. swim) when I go up, so I don't feel so bad about not catching alot.

What part of the meadow did you fish? Right off 41 near Nallen, or did you walk in somewhere above/ below Nallen....(or even up river towards rainelle?) The lower section before it runs into the gauley is gorgeous...but very hard to fish when the water is up.
