New to the forums here and I wanted to say hey to my fellow mountain folk, see how many are lurking and where everyone is from!
I'm from Charleston, been fishing all my life mainly for smallies, crappie/gills and trout. Found this site while researching fishfinders on kayaks as I've got the kayak fishing bug bad now!
In the last year or so I really have made sure to make more time for the outdoors in my life, spent a couple years too concerened with the rat race.....but luckily I've got my priorities back in place.
I look forward to hearin' from y'all!

I'm a Newbie on here and originally from West (by God) Virginia, but have now settled in Central Texas. I still have kin living up on the mountain @ 27 miles from Keyser and Petersburg. I was last in WV July of 2010 and plan on making it back again next July (2013)
I'm called "Snakman" since I used to own a Vending Company before I was forced to retire after 8 heart attacks. Now about all I have time to do is rebuild boats (slowly) and FISH... HMU if you want to chat.
Morgantown, here...only been on the site for a few months. I've fished Tygart and Salt Fork (Cambridge, OH) this year. Fishing Salt Fork again in August. My family is from the Parkersburg area and it only takes them a little over an hour to get to Salt Fork, that's why they like it. I'd like to fish Tygart again and give Stonewall a try this year. We used to fish Burnsville a lot when I was a kid; but the fishing got pretty tough for a few years and they were remodeling the campground, so we haven't been back in a while.
