So when is the early bite going to start? As soon as the ice is gone? Just wanted some opinions.

Where I was last ice fishing is probably still a no go, but I may ride out to the dam my family owns today. Maybe it's melted enough. It was losing its ice first, and there are some nice crappie and perch there too.

The one my family owns? It's in Lahmansville. Or are you talking about where I was making my sad attempt at ice fishing. That was a dam out near Dorcas.

I rode out to our dam and it's not ready yet. Dorcas is a small unincorporated community not far from Petersburg.
