Very good report and well stated on who we are and what we do.
Looking forward to the tourney this Saturday.
If you have ever wondered about joining our club, let me give you some input about who we are. We started back in 2010 when some crappie.com members decided to meet and talk about forming a club. We are all amateur fishermen, some have fished Crappie USA and Crappie Masters tournaments but most of us have only fished our club tournaments. We all have the same desire to meet others and share our experiences of crappie fishing. Some of our teams have consisted of: husband and wife, father and son, father and daughter, grandfather and grandson, lifelong friends, old school buddies, and some that met after joining the club.
Our ages range from teenager to senior citizen. Our locations vary from all across the western portion of our state: Collierville, Jackson, Dyersburg, Lexington, Paris, Huntingdon, Camden, Parsons, Decaturville, Trenton, Greenfield, Alamo, Friendship, Bells, Middleton, Savannah. We occasionally get a few from out of state such as Mississippi, Missouri, Arkansas, and Illinois.
The lakes we fish are Kentucky Lake (Big Sandy, Birdsong, Mousetail Landing) and Pickwick Lake. We try to host one tournament a month and also use the time after weigh-in to hang out and talk about any business that needs to be addressed or just talk about FISHING!!
So, if you have ever thought about fishing tournaments with just a bunch of average Joes, or joining a club, give us a try. Some members are very competitive and some (like me) enjoy spending time in the Great Outdoors. The one thing we all have in common is Crappie Fishing, and we all share our knowledge and techniques with others.
We have a tournament scheduled this Saturday (Oct 10) on Kentucky Lake. Registration is from 5:45-6:00 on the morning of the tournament at the Springville Pumphouse ramp. Fishing starts at 6:30 and ends at 2:30 with weigh-in at 3:00 at the Springville Pumphouse.
Hope to see some new faces this weekend.
