Ive been on the football smallies at 50 to 20 feet deep they are on their way up shallow for the feeding binge.I got one at sammamish that was only 16 inches and 3lbs(good example fish). The bigger largemouth are in schools but hard to find but when you do find them hang on. Ive also been marking huge schools of suspended fish over rock bottoms.( I hope they are what I think they are). The perch are up shallow and are footballs me and some friends got some 12inch+ fish on suspending jerkbaits. And from what Ive heard bluegill/pumpkinseeds are in weedbeds from 25 to 4 feet of water.

Humpys are in the snohomish too. They may be nasty and slimy and reck a bassboats carpet( I swung one that was about 6lbs into my friends nitro; to hell with nets) but they do make good smoked salmon.

Up in alaska we use them for halibut bait and to feed the dogs, not for humman consumption.
To land one of my crappie i need a gaff and a .22 pistal :D

You can use sandshrimp. I'd save some cash and just get some frozen shrimp from the grocery store. They'll nail that just as quick. Use a salmon jig about 3 feet under a good float, tip it with a shrimp tail and you'll have to beat them off :D.

You guys need to remember that there is fish in the warm water too. Like lake sammamish, We got 15 there yesterday with the biggest being 4lbs, the average was about 3.5lbs.Gotta love the fall smallmouth bite, they were fat, the average fish was about 17inches (couple of 19" fish too) long and ready to pop with full stomachs.

There's nothing as fun as catching crappies and white perch. Well, I shouldn't quite say that cause all the other fish are fun too. What ever you catch, don't for get to "Fillet and Release"
