To land one of my crappie i need a gaff and a .22 pistal :D
Koke ~ I'm game for some night trips come Fall. The size of the schools are just insane. If you've never seen your entire depth finder filled with huge schools of crappies you will come Sept-Oct. I think Cajun Chris was in shock when I took him to a few holes last winter.
Bassman ~ I hear you on the bass. Last weekend was the first time I'd seen largemouth schooling on the big lake. No big ones...but plenty of 1-2lbers that would slam anyhing tossed at them. We had a plast. Most of them were puking up small perch and bullheads.
I'll be back out for Pinks tomorrow afternoon. The schools on the Green are getting THICK. 50-150 fish per schools...all cruzing about 2 feet below the surface. They put up a good fight on a 7' flipping rod spooled with 8lb test,
It all comes down to sweet time. When I am down on the Snake I am always watching my fishfinder for those huge schools of crappies that I hope to one day find. But fighting a salmon compared to a crappie...doesnt even compare
There are other fish than Crappie?
I understand fowlguy, even a Faithfull husband dreams of a hooker on occassion.
You'll come back, they always do.
Reaper
Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
I found out pinks are also fun on a 6ft ultra lite rod.
did you get into some? where at?
The east waterway in the duwamish. Its a bobber and bait area only. But you can see fish jumping clear out of the water every where you look, a couple almost jumped in the boat.
