Oh well, we can try again sometime in June maybe......after the Shad run of course :D. I'll be hitting Sammamish next Sunday. The full moon is next monday so the slab females should be up shallow if the weather improves by then.

I'll start a Flotilla Part II thread early next week.

It says the weather is supposed to be sunny again next weekend so they should be on beds.

That's what I'm betting on :D. I looked all over L. Washington for spawning crappie on Sunday but didn't find any in the shallows. Had to go out to 15 feet off of points to boat the 4 I did find. I thought the cold front may have pushed the fish back out but the smallies were still anchored down on their beds. The only word to discribe the bass fishing yesterday is AMAZING lol. I swear that lake has more bass over 3lbs than any lake in this state.

I've been hearing about 30 fish days down there lately in the Kalama area. Good luck...post a pic of the trip if you can.

believe it or not, i truly caught the biggest bass of my life today, i didn't ahve a weigher but i measured it and it was 19 inches ( what does that translate into in weight?) it was a smallmouth and i caught it out of the lake washington ship canal in the rain on a tube and jighead. there were a couple of joggers that were witnesses

Sounds like a nice fish Urban. It's fun trying to pull those hogs up out of the canal huh? :D. I've lost a lot of fish in there. Now I just hurry up and jump down onto the ledge as soon as I hook one. In the early morning you can hook into largemouths there as well.
