    Default Lake tanwax

well my son and myself went to tanwax yesterday (22/june/08) and trolled, jigged, still fished and prayed to the crappie gods but all they rewarded us with was some small perch, and some nice rainbows, not a bad day but no crappie. ( this was my first trip to this lake)

Thanks for the report black crappie.

We night fished Lake Kapowsin on Saturday night and hit a few catfish. I'll have a report for Harts Lake channel cats and crappies this weekend.

We've fished Harts and Ohop the last two saturday's. Harts is slow for crappie (only caught about 6 total) but the catfishing is great right now...perch are biting good too.

Are there fish in American Lake? I just arrived to Tacoma. A friend took me over to American Lake in Tillicum where we spent 5 hrs without as much as a nibble. I think I will give Lake kapowsin a try this weekend...

There are some really nice smallmouths and largemouths in there. Big trout too. The south half of the lake is best...from a boat at least. You'll catch some fish at Kapowsin for sure. Try the old resort dock either right when they open or about an hour before dark. The crappies and bluegills are feeding near the surface.

Thanks Slabking. I didn't get a chance to make it to the lake this weekend. The Fam had other things (the Bite of Seattle) in mind for the weekend. I will be going during the week (wednesday & thursday). I am hoping the lake isn't as busy as during the weekend. Unfortunately, I do not have a boat as of yet. I am trying to get rid of my 33 foot RV prior to purchasing a boat. As always thanks for the info.

    Hi Slabking,

How does one go about catching some catfish at Harts Lake? What method, jigs, time, and location should I follow?

    Sincerely,

    Ryan
