How did everyone do over the weekend? I went to pine lake today(saturday) and managed 1 smallmouth and 5 silver slime rockets that hit anything.

yea but i'm pretty used to it, i figure at least the weather was nice and we saw hundreds maybe thousands of salmon smolts i think jumping out of the water while we were trolling the bridge
I hate lake washington. Lake washington is a bigger Jerk than Bassman and that is saying someting.
To land one of my crappie i need a gaff and a .22 pistal :D
hey, if i had as good of spots to fish as bassman i would protect them with my life
I drove all the way to Spokane and back on Saturday to buy a used bass boat. Took it out to Washington and Union today and there was a bass tourny on both lakes . I managed to scrape up three smallies smallest around 1/2lb and the largest about 3.5lb. Dragging Senko's 25ft flats. Not bad but not good lol.
how do you go about catching fish so consistently?
Knowing your targets seasonal movements is the key...even more so than lures or technique. You can have all the gear and casting skills in the world but if you're fishing the wrong structure during the wrong time of year.....skunked . I also have topo maps of every lake that I fish and I keep them in a binder in my tackle bag. So this weekend I fished many lake points, humps, and shallow flats without a hit. The first fish I caught was on the edge of a deep flat with grass starting to grow on it. I pulled out the map, found where I was fishing at, then looked for more areas like it. I nailed a bass or got hits at ever one of those other areas.Originally Posted by urban_fisher1
The perch are thick right now in the south end of both lakes in 20 feet of water. Also found a nice school of crappie on Union but couldn't get them to hit so I just watched them on the Aqua-Vu for about 20mins and moved on.
was the tournament the big bass blast, or is that one still to come
