    hey chris,is it normal for the crappie to disappear like that,I heard by mid summer they start to go really deep and are hard to catch?

    Those dirty SOB's :D . They're there somewhere just scattered about after post-spawn. That's a ton of bushpiles to check but I'd bet if you could find one on a point you could find them again. If not, it's time to check the docks early in the AM. I've always found it strange how crappies seem to vanish after the spawn. Might be time to switch over to the night bite.

    Yep, it's normal. The only solution is to fish as often as possible, and try and network with people you know that fish the same lakes. Sometimes the fish will bite naked hooks and other times you can't get them to bite anything. The trick is to keep a pole in the water and remember that you can only fish for today.
