Default A reply about fishing the powder river arm on Brownlee reservoir.

I had a PM sent to me tonight asking me if it would be feasible to fish the powder river arm on Brownlee reservoir, wanting to know if it would be worthwhile to get a oregon license yes if you’re wanting to fish the powder River arm and you are still Able to fish in Brownlee on the Idaho side if you like, as long as that you were on a floating device, such a boat or a dock .

Do you all of my friends that we used to fish with in Brownlee reservoir? I do not live there anymore. I am located in Texas. I wish I was there with you guys. It is hot and miserable here in Texas.

It has not been a real good season on Brownlee so far. The crappie are good sized, mostly 12-13" with some up to 16" but they have been scarce. Trolling plugs out on the Snake was productive earlier in the Spring but still inconsistent. It should get better after they recover from the long, drawn-out spawn and school up. Lots of water still coming in from both the Snake and Powder rivers.

Thank you for the report I miss being there that's for sure it is hotter than blazes here every day is a brown 115 with the heat index no site ending soon the water temperature is 80+ I do miss Richland especially when you have morning temperatures in the 50s.
And I heard that you were getting snow in the mountains yet but good deal at least the Oregon will have lots of water I hope fishing improves for you do you need anything slabman let me know.

I think that's a very good idea. One of the local night fishermen caught some absolute monsters earlier this Spring. I'm not going to say how big because it sounds like bull but you'll probably hear about them. By mid-July the crappie should be schooling up. I'll try to get out there later this week and see what's up.
