The one in the image looks like a great basin. At my place about 7 miles away they look more like the northern pacific. I've never seen one like the picture at my place.

Hotter n' blazes huh! Picked up a load of potato's in Texas years ago going to Valdosta Georgia. Over 100* in Texas but got hotter the farther east I got. Valdosta was about 110* and 90% humidity! another time I came out of Southern Cal with a load and used to be A big thermometer in Baker I think it was. Read 120* about 10pm! Got to a truck stop in Los Vegas and still pushing 120*. Ran the airconditioner all night and didn't help much at all. Used to go down to Miami Flordia now and then and the only way you could dry off down there in the summer was get into a shower. Then get out and start drying off and can't do it, sweat starts again to soon!

I live in East Texas. It’s been over 100° here for over a month no lit up in sight.

[QUOTE=Oregon slabman;4385481]We're missing 5 age classes due to unstable water levels in the Spring. It's a mystery where the big fish we were catching in May have went. They can't be all gone. Maybe deeper that we're used to fishing. I'm going to keep trying when I can.
Last week I killed 2 rattlers in my parking barn. One had no rattles, just a blunt tail.[/QUOTE

When I lived there, we used to kill about 17 rattlesnakes in the hayfield next to us one or two on our place every year you just have to be careful and watch for them.

Hottest I’ve ever been was at the IRAQ/Kuwait border at a truck stop we called NAVSTAR. Thermometer read 147 and I laid on bagged ice inside a reefer truck to cool off. My gun trucks AC was on the fritz.

Not really deep by Brownlee standards, 18-24'. The perch were cruising above them. About the time I felt I was getting out of the zone the perch would hit.
