not for a long time.............................................. ............. the water temps needs to be at least 52 degrees for good banking march..but most likely mid to late april but may will be a bankers best month in my opinion.
So of course since I hung up the rods for the year I am already thinking about next yr - when do the (warmwater)fish start moving in shallower for bank beaters like me to crack at?

To land one of my crappie i need a gaff and a .22 pistal :D
Koke hit the nail on the head. Early April to late May are the golden months. I had my first multiple catch day this year on March 24th fishing in 2-4 feet of water. If it warms up early they can be up shallow by early March in the shallower lakes. By the time the water hits 55-57* the bass, crappie, and perch will be up. They'll start spawning when it hits 60* on most lakes.
in other words, pick up a new hobby like steelheading or squishing.....
or kniting i guess :D
fishing isn't a sport, it's a way of life.
a motto i live by :D
go dawgs!!
