Thread: Pasco, Washington Anglers

Doesn't seem like there are to many Crappie fishermen in Washington. I guess that will surely change once I get there, because I love Crappie fishing. Of course being in Louisiana for the last 2 years has spoiled me, because I'm sure Washington doesn't have nearly the size of Crappie like they have out here.

Can I read into your statement that your being transferred/stationed in the Pasco, WA area in the near future?

You'd better go to Darbonne, Larto, Saline, Toledo Bend, Nantachie Dam, Cleco, And every other slab producing lake or hole you can find prior to your move. Freeze as many slabs as you can and bring them with you!! Pack your favorite rod and reel (singular) Donate the rest cause you wont need them and it's against the law for you to use them up here. One pole at a time, and a 10 fish limit of 9 inches or better. The last couple of years has been rough for Crappie fishing in Seattle, maybe the missing piece of the puzzle is YOU!! They can't walk so they're still out there somewhere, come up and help me find them. Peabody WarHorses rule.

Yes sir we'll be coming from Fort Polk, LA and headed to Fort Lewis, WA on Sept 5. I'm anxious and excited to see how I can use my Hobie Outback up there. Should be there for the next 4 years if not more. I've fished in CA all my llife until I came out here, and it's amazing the size of fish out here. I got turned on to Red/ Red Drum fishing and it's awesome! I love Striper fishing in Sacramento, CA and them Red's are just like Striper. I've neverfished for Salmon, only Trout fished when camping in the Sierra Mountains, and used to fish for Steelhead in the American River when I was young. I think those are WA main fish? I'm all about Largemouth, Smallmouth, Crappie, and Striper.

LoL, unfortunately the 2 yrs I've been here I've only fished and heard of Toledo Bend. Unless I have someone that's wants the fish I catch, I'm just in it for the sport and passion of it, so limit isn't that big of a deal. I do like the 9 inch rule though. To many people keep small fish, which slowly lowers the population. I've read somewhere that Crappie tend to (disappear) for some time and then all of a sudden you are loaded with them.
By the way my name is Chris Whitten, I am 35 yrs feel old (thanks to being an electrician), I currently stay home with our baby boys Lycan and Relyc, and am currently attending Central Texas College working on my Associates Degree in Restaurant and Culinary Management. I hope to open a restaurant some day. I have thought about being a Crappie Kayak Guide....still thinking.

Yep we made here about a month and a half ago. Long miserable trip. Haven't had a chance to get out and fish yet, but it's surely on the agenda. Hope ya'lls are reeling them in these days!!

At least you got a little of the dry season in.
I'm hoping more people start getting active here. There is a lot of good fishing up here.
