I have been fishing and tying lol. Its been warm here for a few weeks (for this time of year) been out perch fishing a few times lately. This board is always dead there is only a few of us from WA on here and traffic is pretty inconsistent of the few of us that are.

    Default Western Washington.....

I'm just north of Seattle and am going on a guided trip on Lake Washington this spring for crappie.

Used to be eastern Washington and hit Potholes and more recently Moses Lake for nice crappie.

Don't know how to go about it in this area, but will post after my trip with any insight.

Has anyone tried those lights in the water after dark that are supposed to attract baitfish then predators?

    Thanx, randy

I've caught some large crappie on the north end of Lake Washington, but I know they can be found all over the lake, just depends on the time of year. Good luck!!!

Really isn't a huge crappie resource here, a lot more in the east side but west side it is hit and miss as far as numbers y'all see in other parts of the country. Now if we want to talk trout, slamon, steelhead and salt water that is another story.

Gonna be making a trip soon though to Duck Lake in Ocean Shores so we will see if I can change my luck in that confounding lake. Probably plan a trip in mid April before trout season opens.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

I went to Silver Lake (Castle Rock) last Saturday and caught a bunch of small perch and crappie in the Canal. No keepers or anything to write home about. I did see a guy land a nice 11" crappie from the banks by the new RV park. I've fished Sawyer, Trout (fed way) and Lake Holmes in the past month. Not a nibble, not a bite. Stopped in Richland Or. back in January on my way back from New Orleans and caught 37 nice crappies. Mark your calendar for June 18th, that's when the Crappie will start biting in Western Washington.....
