I went for crappie on union the other night from that walkway and had a couple bites but thats it. Just fishing about a foot off the bottom with a jig, red body yellow tail.

I haven't been out for crappie in about a week but they were stacked up pretty heavy and biting good. They have moved to the winter holes already.

Went fishing for chum salmon Sat-n-Sun. Caught about 40 of them over the weekend. Most where between 8 and 15lbs with a few near 20. All boots but a lot of fun to catch. Also hooked my first winter Steelhead on Sat but lost him to a stick-up. Mastafisher made it out with me yesterday and got to tangle with a few of those badboys. I'll let him post what happened.

Heading back for chum on turkey day for a few hours in the early morning if anyone wants to meet up. Also, I'll be on Union Saturday night if the weather holds. I'll have an open seat I'm sure.

can't wait to get my first chum,i don't care if they are ugly because their size makes up for it and thats all that matters if you catch and release mostly anyways, lookin forward to it!

Make sure have at least 14lb test. Anything less and the Chum will laugh at you :D. Grab a few foam dink floats, heavy split shot, some pink jigs and you're ready 4 war. We're gonna have a blast out there.

I think you did good for your first time Chum fishing. It took me three fishing trips to hook one when I started out. And you're right, I need to tie up some more jigs as well. I think I'm going to use a little heavier leader this time as well. I was using 12lb leaders but got broke off a few times when I shouldn't have. I can't wait to hit the water again. Hope to see you guys out there.
