I haven't taken a shower in so long I'm starting to smell like a fish. But I don't think that counts. We should go friday, you don't have school. We should do thursday night for some crappie.
i think this must be the longest non fishing streak i have ever had, has any one else been catching any crappie out there or anything else? i hope to get out there this weekend

I've been slaying the Chum in the Sound from the bank for two weeks now. Starting to get a nice stock of eggs to feed to Steelhead next month. Checked out Union a few days ago and the crappie, bass, and perch or biting something fierce from sundown to about 2am. Forget about fishing during the day...the night bite is on! Hard bottom Drop-off + Weedline = fish for the next month and half.
I'll try to make it out Sat night and post some pics and a good report. Heading out to the Skok Sunday morning so I might not make it out but I'll try. Tight lines fellas.
maybe thursday for the night bite and friday for trout sounds good, it just might work...
To land one of my crappie i need a gaff and a .22 pistal :D
you get those chums with a herring under a bobber? just curious cause i got all that stuff to try it out
Yeah, just use a 4inch dink float with a mooch double hook setup. I like the bait to be about 2 feet under the float. If you fish the mouth of a river or the beaches you can see the fish and just cast it about 4 feet in front of them. Every 40 seconds or so pull the float about 4 feet and let the bait drop back down again. They will slam it lol. Spool up as much line as your reel can take because these fish will spool you if you don't have enough line on the spool.
Green Marabou jigs are killing them right now as well. Use one under a float and just slowly reel the jig past them.
nice i might give that a try tomorow, when you say see them is it because they are really shallow or because they are jumping, any particualr tide the best? thanx for the help!
yea I might need to try that tommorow too. Where is a good beach spot for chum?

At the mouth of rivers tide doesn't really matter if they are in thick. Out going is great though...on the beach and rivers. If they are there they will bite no matter what tide it is. They just seem to go a little more nuts on the out going.
