Diascund just wasn’t meant to be today…
Got home and thought “I’m going fishing”. Loaded up the pond prowler and headed out. I’m almost to the reservoir when I see VDOT trucks blocking the road. Road is closed because there is a downed power line crossing it both directions. I just went home.

Ain’t that the truth! Very fun day today. I caught every fish today on a little white marabou RoadRunner, except one Bass (and that was on a new topwater I was trying out). No Crappie showed up the the party though. Bass, Catfish, Perch, etc… all on that RR. The only bass I caught on something else has the topwater lure in the picture.Originally Posted by BuckeyeCrappie

Because I fish Chickahominy all the time in my Triton, and I specifically wanted the peace and quiet of an electric only lake in my small electric boat… which is exactly what I did the next day.Heck if it was closed why not just head over to Chickahominy
Plus… paying a ramp fee for 3-4 hours of fishing on Chick.

Very nice! Way to turn it around. Looks like a healthy largemouth fishery too.Ain’t that the truth! Very fun day today.
