I know it doesn't look like much, but at Thanksgiving it makes me go back. The burl is from the walk bridge that uses to cross Lake Pleasure House. It was torn down in the 60's. Scott my old fishing buddy gave it to me. It was used for a door stop till this year, sprayed it with poly. Shakers were my mom's from Japan, old as I am. They're both gone but I hate to think what going thru life without them and others.
Mom, I don't think I had a house key till I was about 18, she was always there when I came home.
Scott knew the guy from 7 years old till his passing a few years back. I could call him anytime needing help, never said no, go fishing never said. He called me once let's go fishing. I say you see the weather, 40F, 25 NE, light rain. He says full moon February, YELLOW PERCH.

There have been some on here too. Shoer always seem to call at the oddest times. 20 minutes later I have to blow my nose and pee from laughing so hard. I'll never forget Keith calling me when I was in the middle of my divorce to check on me. At that time, he was real sick. And last but not least my little buddy (who will remain unnamed) who checks on me regularly, thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Oh, and Dayton put down the turkey leg!
