Well, the thread title says it all. I had been curious to explore Back Bay as I am only 11 miles to the Mill Landing boat ramp and so yesterday my wife and I headed on out. We covered a lot of water and never saw anything deeper than 6' with the vast majority of water around 4'-5' deep. We ran all the way up north but I never explored past a water depth of 3' as I did not want to get stuck in my Lund. There are numerous large duck blinds which is pretty much all we fished as there are no trees along the shore line and if there were the water would be too shallow. My wife caught 2 white perch but that was it for the day. We only fished from around noon to 4:00 which I know is not the ideal time. Showed surface water temp at 86. Winds were light out of the east at 8-10mph but you would think they were blowing closer to 20mph as it is wide open out there, my wife was getting sea sick from us bouncing around in my 17' Lund Pro Guide. Boat ramp was on the west side which was a pain putting the boat back on the trailer. Perhaps if I ever head out there again I should head south towards North Carolina?
