I hadn't run my Lund in 2.5 months and my 15 year old stepdaughter loves to fish so off to the Northwest River we went Friday morning. The fog was heavy and hung around until late morning. We had very little luck but we finally found a few down at the state line on the east shore, fishing in water 7' deep counting our jigs down to 3 or 4 feet. We had best luck throwing a Bobby Garland Baby Shad, Monkey Milk, and my good ole go to, Money Jig. My stepdaughter had the biggest at 14oz. We also caught a few here and there, most in water around 7 to 8 feet deep.

I ended up with 15 and she netted 4. I was really hoping the fishing would be better and that she would catch a bunch but it was not meant to be. A lot of boats were out early fishing in the fog but also left early which tells me that the fishing was tough for everyone. I showed surface water temp in the 55 degree range.

I have not been fishing nearly as much as I used to as I am quite addicted to golf at the moment but I took the last week off and hit the Suffolk lakes a few times but never with much luck. I need to make a trip out to Kerr here soon.
