RR are good for what ails you!
Caught a half dozen stunted/skinny bleached white winter crappie in one of our neighborhood ponds during Christmas Eve day which was enough to wake the fishing beast inside. So today, after the Christmas gifts were opened and the meatballs and ham biscuits were devoured, I went back out to pond #2 for more bank fishing. Fished for an hour or so and bite was slow again. Caught 3 more...really good to feel that thump. Water was stained from last week's rain so tried a roadrunner to see if the blade would offer some flash or vibration. Finally caught my first crappie ever on a roadrunner. Guess I just don't really throw them that much. Yeah, no pics.
I asked Santa to bring us dry weather and an early Spring

I've never had any luck with RRs which never made any sense to me because i've caught a lot of them on beetle spins.
