Hello Everyone,
First off, this is my first post and I'm a bit new to crappie fishing (traditionally a bass fisherman). My father has recently gotten injured at work so we have decided to try crappie fishing this Friday so he doesn't have to cast and wind as much. We are most likely going to be using live minnows and slip bobbers.
I was wondering if anyone had some information on spots to look for crappie. My plan was to look around some deeper docks and bridges to see what I can find, but I have only fished lake Anna a handful of times so I'm not very familiar with brush piles or any other cover that crappie may be hanging out. We will be launching uplake so I'd rather stay around there if possible. Obviously I'm not expecting anyone to give up their honey-holes, maybe just some pointers on general areas that produce this time of year.
Thanks for any and all help.
Welcome aboard. I've never fished Anna but we have some people that have and hopefully they will chime in here.
