    Default Well, it was good while it lasted (NWR Spring)


    Thursday was a good day on the NWR. In addition to 20 nice crappie (10" or better) the big white perch are showing up. There are still some good yellow perch too. Of course there were a lot of throw backs too.

    The surface temp was 59F. The fish were shallow but scattered. Caught some less than a mile from Bob's and some well into NC.

    But of course, the return of winter tonight right before the full moon is going to mess it up for a while.

    But at least I have enough for a family fish fry Sunday.

    Love that place, got get back down there soon. The nice weather shore does spoils ya don't it............Nice catching.
