Default A few big boys or girls

Eileen and I had a good day on the water, we caught many fish and the quality was great. All fish came on jigs in 7' to 8' fow. The 2 jumbos were 151/4" and 15", both just missing the two pound level, for some reason their eggs were not developed to where they should be at this time of the year. They should be ready to spon in a month. Weather was perfect and is predicted to remain this way for the next 5 days. Sorry you all are having snow and ice and cold temps. Come and join me to do some great fishing.

As dark as they are I would suspect they are males. From what I read females don't get dark at spawning time like the males do. Sure are pretty fish regardless of gender.

    Vic,
I really appreciate the report and pictures, wish we were there again. Looks like you're getting the hang of that smart phone. Real pretty dark fish. I remember from our trip several years ago there how dark both the males and females are due to the color of the water there. Hope the weather and the fish continue to cooperate!
