Thanks for the report.
I don't know how long its going to take the Northwest River to recover from Mathew.
I fished down to within a mile of Tulls Bay and the water still looks like coffee, couldn't see the bottom of my 8 inch deep live well.
I did catch three 10-12 inch fish but turned them loose. Scattered and in less than 4 feet of water. Water temperature is 55 and that's probably why the fish are still alive.
Thanks for the report.

Hmmmmm Bob's Fishing Hole reports all crappie fishermen are limiting, on their facebook page. But do not tell anyone!
If you don't mind changing the channel, how does the North River / Indian Town look?
I live in between the NWR and Indiantown and they are about the same. All of our waters around here got really messed up from the storms. But I think they are coming back. I am going out on the 19 of DEC. My boat has been in dry dock do to a broke in half trailer(rusted out frame). How is the lakes down your way. I left a post on the NC board about a New Year's bash like last year. Hopefully the rains will not mess things up again like last year.

The lakes over here are fine now. I've had a couple of good trips over on Jordan Lake! I talked to Shane a couple weeks back and he is tied up this year. So I don't think there will be a bash unfortunately.
The Big eye tournaments start 1/11 on Harris lake though....

I finally caught some fish on the NWR. 15 solid keepers but no braggers.
All in one spot where a small creek drained out of the marsh, only 4 to 5 feet down.
But at least there are a few starting to feed.
