Seems like it has gotten almost impossible to get a good turnout at any event anymore beyond the one for yellow perch early in the year. Kind of sad, miss the old days on here.

I seem to remember when Panman set up and tried to organize bashes especially as his health was failing that Va Crappie.com members tried to give him a hard time about moving bashes due to bad weather or gave him a hard time because as moderator he censored their post including a few of mine. I think that the trend of smaller turnouts at bashes started a long time ago. I fish for crappie because I love to fish and crappie have been my favorite fish to catch for over 50 years. Panman shared my love of fishing for crappie and helping others fish for crappie. Yes Roy I miss the old days and fishing with my Dad (Willie) and my brother Keith (Panman). The 40 HP Yamaha that powers my boat came as a gift from Keith after my Dad passed and Keith's health was failing and I still look back at that motor and smile knowing that part of my brother fishes with me each time I go fishing.

I fished with Keith on one of my very first bashes which was at Buggs, pretty sure is was 3-18-2007. I remember that he had his poles in his vertical rod holders and it was a bit rough on our ride to Sandy Creek and by the time we got there he had quite the mess as four of his poles were all tangled together. He was also the guy who turned me on to Cajun Cricket which I have done very well with.

The chic bash in december had a good turn out. I think that it needs to be advertised early, talked up a lot prior to and done at a time that doesnt conflict with work and vacation schedules. Ive been in contact with doodle who does a site on facebook and we are discussing the possibility of a bash in june. We are looking at doing it out of ed allens. Need to check so it doesnt confict with any bass tournements. Will let yall know after this weekend.
