    Smile NWR report

A great day on the NWR. Had to fight the wind but it was worth it. Caught just under 50 and saved 16 for dinner. Two were just over 12" and the other keepers were about 10-11". Plenty of 9 inches to keep it exciting. The water temp was 62.5 degrees and they hit pretty much everything to include minnows. Quite a few tight liners out there so hope they did as well as we did.
Some were looking for white perch with only a few in the boat.
Overall, a good day to fish on the NWR.

Great job!!! What boat were you fishing out of cause I was one of those boats you saw tight lining. I was shocked when I got to Bob' to find the water to be clear after all this rain and winds and a cold front the day before. I found the fish in one area which made me happy and yes it was a banner day!! All fish caught either tight lining or casting. Like you I caught and released well over 50 and I caught 5- 3/4lb bream to. Next time I'm out look for a white G-3 boat with a yamaha 70 hp. Stop and say high.

I was in the blue tracker. I did see you as I remember the 70hp Yamaha. I did catch a few nice Bream also. Love the way they fight. See you on the water! Rob
