You did right by keeping carpet under your feet. LineX is HOT. If you ever do another boat look at Hydroturff
Hello,
I have completed restoring my boat. I redid the carpet myself and had Line-X installed. I started to have the whole boat did in Line-X but I wanted to feel carpet on my feet when I was fishing. Also I disassembled the boat an took peices to the line-x dealer to get sprayed. The reason I did that was if the live well up front or wires went bad under the floor I can still take the boat apart and fix it.
My boat is made by Lowe and is all alumiunim. I scraped all the carpet off and sanded the glue off with a electric hand sander. It did a good job removing the glue.
I checked with a line-x dealer and carpet guy for a price to install carpet/line-x and the price was the same to do either $1200. I decided to do it myself and save a couple hundred dollars. I made one mistake and ordered too much carpet. After I received the carpet I wanted line-x installed too. I ordered 30 foot of carpet and just used 10 foot.
Now I have 20 foot of carpet I have to sell, I will post in the classifieds.
It was not hard to do you just need some tools, time, and YOUTUBE.
Let me no if you have any questions,
